Expressive Art

Expressive Art is based on the premise that we are infused with the gift of imaginations. This class allows the student to explore self-expression, self-discovery and self-actualization.  These classes use art to foster, storytelling and writing, music, poetry, and writing skills.

Our lessons are interesting, enjoyable and engaging, which helps students understand and explain their learning. Expressive Art provides students the opportunities to be creative, work collaboratively and develop confidence.

Learning in, through and about the expressive arts enables students to:

  • be creative and express themselves in different ways
  • experience enjoyment and contribute to other people’s enjoyment through creative and expressive performance and presentation
  • develop important skills, both those specific to the expressive arts and those which are very transferable
  • develop an appreciation of aesthetic and cultural values, identities and ideas and, for some, prepare for advanced learning and future careers by building foundations for excellence in the expressive arts

Art, English, Planning and Math are the courses offered in the Expressive Art Class.
